Photo-shooting has been widely used by the younger generation to capture moments of their daily life.  The Child Life Specialists (formerly known as Hospital Play Specialists) introduced the “Photovoice” programme to the young cancer patients in the hospitals, hoping that through this interactive and experiential exercise, they will learn to reflect on their thoughts and feelings of being a cancer patients, and explore the use of visual images to express themselves.

In Dec 2014, nine young patients participated in the “Photovoice” programme and took more than 160 photos and captioned their feelings on each and every one of them. In the process, the Child Life Specialists were all touched by the feelings the patients revealed through their photos. Hence, we hope that this Exhibition will also help the community to understand the inner world of this particular group of youngsters. Come and explore!
