Here are some of the common terms used in the diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer.

A tumour composed of a number of tissues not usually found at that site.
A surgical operation in which a hole is made into the trachea through the neck to relieve obstruction to breathing.
The implantation of an organ or tissue from one part of the body to another or from one person (the donor) to another (the recipient).
